Orton-Gillingham Based Reading Instruction

Homeschool (PreK-12th)

Whatever your needs are, we can design a program specifically for your child.  Not located near the Tucker area?  No problem, we offer online programs as well.  At our center, we offer a combined PreK-12th grade class.  This class is ideal for students that are in need of an alternative school choice.  Our instruction is differentiated to meet the instructional needs of each student.  This means you will never walk into our classroom and every student is working on the same skill or activity.  Education should be tailor made to meet students' individual needs.

Our homeschool class is an inclusive class for all students, however does include students with minor learning disabilities such as Significant Developmental Delay (SDD), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) in math or reading, ADD, ADHD, and dyslexia.  This class is taught by a highly-qualified and certified special education teacher, with a small class ratio of 10:1.

Our reading instruction is Orton-Gillingham based.  The Orton-Gillingham systematic methodology to teaching reading is richly embedded in our reading instruction.  It is beneficial to all students, but specifically for students who are dyslexic and have mild learning disabilities.  Using this methodology allows students to be taught using all modalities of learning.

Rigorous science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) activities will be integrated into hands-on lessons and individually tailored for children to mirror the collegiate level content that students will be prepared for.  As the US economy changes there is a greater demand for STEM capable workers, and as a result, students of Elite Kids will be well prepared to compete for such careers.
